On a sunny Monday in May, I had the opportunity to photograph Kayla and Jason’s beautiful destination wedding at Revel Event Center in Greenville. With Jason living in New Mexico and Kayla finishing her degree in education in Greenville, they planned to be married on the Monday following Kayla’s graduation while everyone was together. I worked alongside the wondrously talented Crystal Pittman for this wedding and together we created some amazing photos!

Kayla & Jason have an infectious love that’s obvious the moment you lay eyes on them. The way they look at each other, the constant laughter, the little looks they give each other…it all adds up to make this wedding day one for the record books.

Their first look was an incredibly touching moment with not a single dry eye in the room. Jason’s reaction to seeing Kayla was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen at any wedding. Kayla also had a first look moment with her father where she read him a handwritten note to show her appreciation for him. Revel made the perfect backdrop for the first look and ceremony. Donna’s Daisies created a greenscape of silver eucalyptus and asparagus fern stems with candles set within. Guests enjoyed food from Holmes Catering while listening to music provided by DJ PaulRick.

The reception began with them being announced to a cheering room and they went straight into the first dance to the song “Beauty and the Beast.” The song choice was inspired by the way Jason proposed. Jason created a scavenger hunt for Kayla inside the Magic Kingdom and at the end he met her on bended knee surrounded by rose petals and asked her to marry him, the rest as they say, is history.

Their grand exit was through a tunnel of sparklers held by their closest friends and family and they drove off into the sunset in a vintage ‘66 Mustang.
