Bonnie & Clayton’s Wedding at Avenue in Greenville, SC

Avenue is one of my absolute favorite downtown Greenville, SC venues. The stunning copper wall and floor to ceiling windows of the lobby are a unique setting that created the perfect backdrop for Bonnie & Clayton’s wedding. The rooftop veranda and reception space flow seamlessly. The jewel toned aesthetic designed by B&R Events paired with the delicious brunch style food stations by Table 301 made for a casually elegant experience everyone enjoyed.

For their intimate wedding, Bonnie & Clayton kept things small by only inviting family and close friends. They chose to live stream the ceremony to those who couldn’t make it so it truly felt like a party where everyone could have fun with the people they’re closest to!

The Reception at Avenue

They gave Jumping Jukebox free reign to keep the mood upbeat and they knocked it out of the park. People were already tapping their feet and swaying while they were grabbing small plates and drinks from the bar. Midway through the reception they were able to take a 1PM brunch wedding reception and turn it into a full on dance party! Bonnie said “One of my favorite moments was our first dance. I was afraid it would feel awkward having everyone stare at us but it really felt as if it was just the two of us in the room. It was so special! I was also really excited for our send off – Jumping Jukebox created a beautiful snow effect as we left and it was truly the icing on the cake of a perfect day.”

Wedding Attire

For their wedding attire, both wanted something timeless and maybe a little retro. Clayton went with a custom Ralph Lauren charcoal gray suit with thin, wide pinstripes. He loved that the pinstripes gave it a retro feel but it kept a more modern cut. Bonnie found a beautiful off shoulder, satin ballgown (with pockets!) from David’s Bridal. She kept it simple with no glitz on the dress, and a hand beaded pearl cathedral veil. She then added a touch of color with her sapphire earrings.
